Lets give praise that all of Toei's anime that is currently airing is back 🙏
It seems the month long nightmare is over but the irony is this episode is about nightmares lol.
Glad they dusted off and revive SkullGreymon, since he has been one of my fav's

it was amazing they managed to make skullgreymon look once again like a supernatural boogeyman even though it wasn't even here
just a nightmare in form og one

That went to shit fast, there's gonna be a long list of Jellymon's terrorist activities by the end of this anime.

Thank god they didn’t go with 2020 reboot method and just let the Protag(Hiro) stay as the side character this time, not needed to be the knight came to rescue, that’s nice, Jellymon derserved that punishment btw lol

So next episode the partner digimons will be semi-antagonist for next episode, or you know, framed or mind controlled, while the previous Digimon we met came back, that will be somewhat uncomfortable to watch but definitely fresh, once again, welcome back Digimon Ghost Game

This may be the first time a Digimon evolved (forward or backward) in their sleep.

Also, for whatever purpose, Higgachi is definitely going to (try to) use that lucid dreaming experience again later. If he can do that in a dream state, what can the other human partners do? He's never seemed more in his element.

or at least a joke that kiyoshiro tried to induce lucid dreams on himself again

So this episode while there wasn't much progression we had a bit of fun seeing the kind of odd jobs Jellymon tries to pull off and in this case it's an attempt at making use of Pilomon's sleep bubbles to give people pleasant dreams under Cherry Blossoms. Unfortunately Pilomon is also a dream eater and because she ate too much and wound up not sleeping well leading to her having nightmares of being attacked by Skullgreymon back in the Digital World affecting anyone who is in the dream too.

Kyoushiro, Jellymon, Angoramon, and Ruli were having the worst time dealing with Skullgreymon until Kyoushiro realized dream control.

The wait is finally over, man feels like forever since this forced hiatus started but I'm glad things are back on track! This episode wasn't overly amazing but seeing Skullgreymon again was awesome, also looks like next episode will be dope, hopefully its something that moves the plot forward!

Tapirmon/Bakumon is really strong if you ever think about it. Pillomon is also very strong by how effective it drags everyone into what it was dreaming/having a nightmare of.

We already got a taste of tapirmon's dream abilities (or at least one of them) in Frontier
i was surprised they didn't have tapirmon as the villain but more like "the one saving them at the end"

The 3rd time Jellymon's unrepentant antics have almsot gotten the team killed 🙄

I do like the character aspect of being a hustler/scammer lol and Im glad tapirmon finally mete out some punishment

Yes, Ghost Game is back.
This was fine episode, focusing on Higacchi and Ruli and their partners, instead of Hiro and Gammamon.
It's amusing how is it possible to send digimon, in this case Bakumon/Tapirmon, via message.
And, Jellymon... would you ever change? She is funny but her obliviousness is just too much to understand.

I'm glad that the show is back but damn, the episode was garbage lol almost nothing happened except very minor Ruri x Higashi development, the animation was also too rough.

Honestly? For the first episode without Hiro doing anything, this could have been much better, it's a start for development between Ruri and Higashi but that's it, just a start. Let's hope they do more episodes like this and let's hope they just stop fucking around already and go to the digital world, it's episode 22 already for god's sake.

But the good thing is that the next episode looks awesome as fuck!

The art style of this episode is quite simplistic and very charming, I hope this will be how the none sakuga appear of every other episode.

Toei is back in action. Missed this series along w/ One Piece and Precure of course. The current big three of Toei.
I wonder why the hacker hacked Toei though. Still no news about that.

It was a targeted ransomware. Translation; somebody hacked the company systems and locked everybody out, holding all of their assets for ransom.Toei either had to fork over millions, maybe billions to get their assets back, or lose it all entirely.

Negotiating with hackers is never a good idea, so they opted to lose it all and redo the animations with whatever they had, re-hiring actors and artists etc. Even if they paid the ransom the anonymous hacker is in control;
A The hacker can just do it again,
B: The hacker could just demand more money after the initial ransom
C: Now that everybody knows there's a serious vulnerability in Toei's systems, there's thousands of hackers out there that would want to try their hands at attacking Toei as well, so they reconstructed from scratch. At least I think that's what they did, since they anounced the data was "lost" so they probably didn't get it back, one way or another.

I doubt they started from scratch because seasons and new anime are usually planned and run through for about at least a year before they run and have most episodes outlined and just do finishing touches week by week.

Again those "redesigns" are subspecies, Omegamon is art style change. This, however clearly is the same Digimon but its body parts drastically changed, last time this happened was Toei changing Agumon's overall design with something cuter.

MetalGreymon VIRUS - MetalGreymon Vaccine are subspecies of each other. They are just variants. A lot of recolors are just subspecies, that is the general rule in Digimon.
Agumon 2006 and Falcomon 2006 and many other recolors are also SUBSPECIES (except game-only recolors, those are treated as costumes)
Omegamon's shape keeps changing because art-style that's why it looks different in every iteration, Our War Game Omegamon looks different from tri. Omegamon because of that sole reason - character designers changed thus artstyle changed - or look at the difference between Digimon All Star Rumble Omegamon and CS Omegamon - clear artstyle changes. However in all major aspects it's still the same Digimon.

However SkullGreymon's artstyle is the same, same boney dude, not a subspecies, yet lacks fingers, which is a huge change if anything. It's the same change Agumon went through for the anime, which Bandai also later adapted to. (Agumon had 4 fingers).

Magnamon has five fingers only in 02.
In every other universe, he has three fingers.
Why? Nobody knows.
